It's Just The Wind

Last weekend held witness to the last LARP event of the year for me, and what an event it was. I was allowed to play along side the players and document it on film. The plot basically was a group of people break down on a bus in the middle of no where. They walk down the road and find an abbandoned cottage filled with mysterious clues. The 70's setting was amazing with the cottage decked out with old retro classic stuff from projectors to classic sweets such as sherburt.
Eventually the group discovered all was not well and soon were figthing for their lives from ZOMBIES! Brilliant event both to crew and play and the amount of characters people went through was impressive.

there were truely scary moments where i was terrified, and when i finally got cornered with no escape i really almost shat myself as i realised i was about to die.

Editing the video i cant help but laugh all the way through as it's so fun to watch everyone in 70's mode. Below is the trailer of the event that hopefully does not give away to much as i think Si and Larry hope to run it again next year.

Demonkid - The Movie

Managed to dredge up the old Demonkid Movie. It's never been published on the net before and i thought it would be fun for the current acolytes to see my world 8 years ago. It's been edited down but shows first ME at the millenium, my UNI friends and my classic friends :) I might do another chapter in future... we'll see...

Film is split into two due to limits in Google Video and youtube being a bunch a pugs. Whole film is 30 mins long...... ENJOY

The Cathedral Carrot Cake

Last weekend i went to Exeter to meet up with the young Dumnonni crew who wanted, for some peculiar reason , to celebrate my birthday. Not one to complain about my godlike status i agreed and after a rather unnecessarily long train trip i wound myself swamped by teenage hoodlums of many verities. It was a really fun day out, they made me feel good about myself despite the age gap and showed just how easy it is to have fun without having to drink yourself stupid.

Just take a look at the video.....

It was my Birthday this week!

Yup, my birthday it was. Nothing as exciting as last year....... .. ... BUT still, it was my birthday. Lots of people were automatically reminded by facebook which was nice.

My parents gave me the bags i had handed them after going shopping in Plymouth a couple of weeks ago. They did ad a DVD of the Iron Man which was a nice surprise, (i do like that film). Also went out to a mexican place to have a meal which was great and me and my dad got quite drunk.

Last year on my birthday i discussed wether id still make as good a group of friends in my 30's as i did in my 20's. So far it seems to be ok :). I've had a real shit year, so much going on , so many changes. loosing my job the biggest part, not being able to claim 7 years redundancy pay cos the boss has'nt filed for insolvency. Being told id have to take legal action if i want to see that money. Thats just one in a line of problems ive had this year, but it's all been coped with because i've had the friends to lean to and events to run to in order to forget or cope with it all.

Anyway, as an interesting sad experiment, ive made a gallery of pics showing a pic of me for the last 20 years, from aged 10 to now... should entertain some, to see what sorry state i was in when 18 LOL... i think im a kooler person now. At least the youngsters think so.....

Hallows Eve 2008

Halloween was a quiet event for me again this year. Sometimes I have to turn down some events to go to other events, and in some cases that can be a mistake as the events i planned to go to end up not happening and i end up going no where. This happend this year so instead of going to a halloween party as planned, i ended up staying at home for halloween watching dead set and cabin fever.

I did make a pumpkin though for my mm. She totally loves having the local kids turn up all dressed up in costumes to demand candy. So the pumpkin is important to show the kids our house excepts trick or treaters.
Last years pumpkin was different as i made it look like it was puking. Hard to top that one, but i tried!

Also made a speedy video of me making it... which is a bit fun!
